Terms of Use

PassPatte is a health record and reminder service for pets. It includes record tracking, reminders, AI import, family sharing, pet-friendly discovery and the Sitting module. PassPatte is not a clinic and does not provide veterinary advice.

You must have reached the age of majority in your province of residence. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, the confidentiality of your credentials and activities carried out under your account.

The Service offers a Free plan and a Premium plan. Premium subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, under their terms. Renewal, billing, applicable taxes and refunds are subject to the rules of the relevant store. You can manage or cancel your subscription in the store settings.

You retain ownership of the content you add (information about your pets, photos, documents). You grant us the limited license needed to host and display this content in order to provide the Service. You are responsible for the legality of your content and your sharing.

AI import suggests entries from your documents; it may contain errors. You must always review and confirm entries before relying on them. PassPatte does not guarantee the accuracy of AI results.

The Sitting module connects owners and sitters. PassPatte acts only as an intermediary and payment facilitator (via Stripe); the sitting agreement is between the owner and the sitter. PassPatte is not a party to that agreement and is not responsible for the service. Sitters are responsible for the services they offer; owners are responsible for the information they provide. A reporting system lets you flag a problem.

The Service does not replace a veterinary consultation. For any health question about your pet, consult a veterinarian. In an emergency, contact a clinic immediately.

Information about places (parks, beaches, cafés, hotels, clinics) comes from third-party sources and is provided for guidance only. Always check the venue’s rules before you travel.

You agree not to use the Service for unlawful purposes, not to impersonate others, not to bypass security measures, not to harm the Service, and not to circumvent Sitting-module payments.

The Service, its brand and its content (excluding user content) belong to PassPatte inc. and are protected. No license is granted to you except for normal use of the Service.

We may modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service, and update these terms. We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee it.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for a breach of these terms.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.

To the extent permitted by law, PassPatte shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; they then apply to the extent permitted.

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Quebec and Canada. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Quebec.

The parties have requested that these terms and related documents be drawn up in French. This English version is provided for convenience; in case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
